We are wedding, portrait and commercial photographers in the North East based near Newcastle and Durham. Our photography service covers areas throughout the UK. Northlights Photography is a family business, qualified in photography since 1989, based in the Northeast. We are creative and experienced Northeast wedding photographers, shooting our first wedding in 1986 at St. Paul’s in London, known as the ‘The Actors’ Church’.

Our ethos: We believe that all couples should have access to outstanding photographs to remember their important day, presented in an album uniquely designed for them, at a cost that is affordable to them and their families. An heirloom that will be passed down to future generations to enjoy and reflect upon.

Our philosophy comes from our own experience. We have had wedding albums and separate photographs passed down from our parents and grandparents that have kept stories of our family alive behind each image. Those images are important as they have a place of significance in our lives and who we are as people and as wedding photographers.
Furthermore, Robert and Annette could not afford an expensive occasion, but it was through the generosity of others that gifts were given to contribute to the day including the wedding photography by Annette’s employees where she was an apprentice photographer. It has been due to them that Annette and Robert can reflect on memoires from their marriage 20 years ago and it is also their children, Rhiannon and Elin, and family members who can enjoy remembering the day and the moments that happened. It is also a source of remembrance to those who have passed away in the family – quite often wedding photographs are often returned to at the times of remembering those we love or researching the family tree.
As a family business we bring inspiration to our photography but our business methodology is to maintain old fashioned values where morals and values are important, therefore value for money and courteous customer service is not a luxury but is customary.
